Historically

Immerse yourself in the story of the place and its historical heritage.

Lennartsfors

In 1840, an ironworks was established at Ränkeforsen. The smithy and mechanical workshop were built around 1841. Over the years, the factory in Lennartsfors has also served as a wood pulp factory and mechanical workshop.

The history of Lennartsfors is the story of the mill that refused to die. Over the years, many people have linked their lives to the mill. They pass away in accordance with the laws of transience, but Lennartsfors remains, a symbol of Värmland enterprise at its best.

The eras of wood, iron, and wood pulp have been succeeded by the precision engineering industry. Unlike other companies in the area, the mill has risen again after every difficulty thanks to the energy and initiative of its leaders, the skill of its workers and employees, the strength of its local pride, and the power of the old Ränkeforsen waterfall.
